Celebrating 45 years since its Paris premiere and featuring one of the most memorable scores of all time, Victor Hugo's literary masterpiece, Les Misérables, will storm the stage at Morristown High School this March. Set against the backdrop of the 1832 June Rebellion, Les Misérables is a tale of broken dreams, perseverance, sacrifice, redemption, and love told through the eyes of Jean Valjean, a French peasant who is released from jail after 19 years for stealing a loaf of bread for his sister's starving child. Once released, Valjean finds nothing in store for him but mistrust and mistreatment. He breaks his parole in hopes of starting a new life, initiating a lifelong struggle for redemption as he is relentlessly pursued by police inspector Javert, who refuses to believe Valjean can change his ways. Will Valjean ultimately redeem himself? Will the will of the people of Paris prevail? Come join us on March, 21st, 22nd, and 23rd to find out!
PG13: Les Miserables is suitable for viewers aged 13 and older, due to mature content. We recommend parental guidance for younger audiences.
